ABOUT MORRIS & RUIZ:


Background:  Morris & Ruiz, PC is a three-member firm located in Plymouth, the county seat for Marshall County, Indiana.  Although the attorneys at Morris & Ruiz have legal practice areas that they each prefer, our legal staff can effectively represent your interests on practically any legal problem or issue.  For those rare occasions when we do not feel as though our services would be the "best fit" for our clients, we will assist you in locating an appropriately skilled attorney to handle your case or matter. 


Office Hours: Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  We do, however, close our office daily from noon until 1:00 p.m. for lunch.  When you call our office, you will normally be greeted by Shelly Brown.  Shelly has been our receptionist for the last five years and is available to speak with you during office hours and to help you determine which of our attorneys can best serve your legal needs.  While we attempt to accomodate "walk-ins" as our schedules permit, we would prefer that new clients contact our office in advance to schedule a meeting with one of our attorneys.


Initial Consultations:  Although initial meetings in regard to personal injury-related matters iare always free of charge, consultations related to divorce, criminal law, family law, contract issues, or any other legal matters will generally result in a fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).  If you are unable to pay a fee for your initial consultation, please discuss this with Shelly or one of our attorneys at the time you are scheduling your first meeting with our staff.  All initial consultation fees are applied toward your initial retainer should you retain us to represent you in the matter upon which we first consulted with you.

After Hours/Weekends:  While we would prefer to schedule your appointment during our normal office hours, evening and weekend appointments are available, upon request, to accomodate your work schedule or other particular circumstances.  Please advise us when you first call of any unique scheduling needs and the best time for you to meet with one of our attorneys.

Bi-Lingual/Interpreter Services:  Mr. Ruiz is "reasonably" fluent in Spanish and we also secure an interpreter when required.  Many of our clients choose to bring friends and family members whose fluency in English is superior to that of the client and your interpreter is welcome at any and all meetings.
